Have you signed up for any fall professional learning yet? We have several great opportunities available through the SEED grant. Register now!

Empowering Student Thinking starts September 12th and is a Teacher Learning Community (TLC) focusing on the qualities of classroom culture and instruction that prompt deeper learning for students through inquiry, application of learning, and more student-directed work.  This course is a newly revised combination of Critical Thinking and Problem Solving and Classrooms of Inquiry, offered in Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 respectively.

Connecting Key Ideas Across Content Areas starts September 11th and is a Teacher Learning Community (TLC) that helps teachers think about how more intentional integration of concepts and big ideas can lead to opportunities for more engagement and real-world learning. This course was initially offered in Spring 2018.

Mathematical Mindsets starts September 5th and is a book study based on the book of the same name. Participants will receive a copy of the book Mathematical Mindsets: Unleashing Students' Potential through Creative Math, Inspiring Messages and Innovative Teaching by Jo Boaler. Join with regional peers to transform mathematics instruction so that every child can live up to their potential, breathing life into the mathematics your students experience.

Student-Engaged Revision starts October 8th and is a Professional Practice Study focused on the qualities of a classroom that has a "culture of revision." Discussions and support in utilizing success criteria, rubrics, and feedback will be incorporated in this online course.

**NEW** SEED Independent Study - Start anytime from now until November 23rd. You will engage in one-on-one personalized learning with a SEED coach. Your personalized course will include coaching, classroom implementation, and resources to support your thinking. You may also choose to participate with a team of colleagues. For fall 2018 only, we are piloting this course offering, so participants will receive a $100 stipend for their participation.

We hope you'll join us for one of these great opportunities to engage in meaningful professional learning!
