The Fall Teacher Learning Communities are in full swing, and we'd love to take this opportunity to share an update. In Instructional Design to Maximize Student Learning, we are working on Teacher Quality Standard 1A and focusing on how we might use the Colorado Academic Standards in our lesson and unit planning to ensure that students are mastering content. Here are a few topics and resources we've explored:

I haven’t always loved math.  In fact math and I have had an unexciting relationship for most of my life.  In Elementary school I was really good at memorizing and I loved mad minutes.  Mad minutes was math for me, and my success depended on completing in one minute, and maybe getting a gumball or a star on a chart.  This is what I remember of math.

Teachers across the country are embracing the #ObserveMe movement. How might welcoming fellow teachers into your classroom change your teaching practices?
