The Why and What of Performance-Based Assessment

This set of resources is designed to outline the elements of authentic performance-based assessment and the benefits of this form of assessment for students. Professional Practice Study participants should review all items in this resource set.

This set of resources provides examples of performance-based assessment tasks. Participants in the Professional Practice Study should select 1-2 of these examples to review.

Designing Performance-Based Assessments

This set of resources will support teachers in designing performance-based assessment tasks. Participants in the Professional Practice Study should review all of these resources.

This set of examples provides teachers examples of performance assessment tasks. Participants in the Professional Practice Study should review examples that are of most interest/relevance to your instruction.

These tools will provide guidance in the creation of a performance assessment task.

Participants in the Professional Practice Study should skim these tools in preparation for creating a performance task and may or may not co thoose one or more as a template or guide in the classroom implementation assignment.

This set of resources will support teachers to support and evaluate students in the performance-based assessment process.
